Pokes choke again?

The Dallas Business Journal reports the Dallas Cowboy's $1.2 billion stadium just missed out on being the first sports venue to be part of the EPA's sustainable building program.

Kind of like pushing through the distractions of thug players and bad breaks to make it to the wild card game and, well, you know the rest.

The agency shut the National Environmental Performance Track down about one month ago after running it since 2000.

Compared to typical stadiums, the Cowboys are trying to reduce solid waste by 25 percent and save 1 million gallons of water a year, according to the Journal.

But I wonder, can a 3 million square foot building really be green enough to not leave a big ole footprint on Mother Nature?
